The Art of Building – an annual photography competition organised by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) – opens for entires in October. The global competition is hugely popular and previous winners have been featured on the BBC, throughout the UK national press and in international titles across the world.
The competition is an international showcase for the very best digital photography of the built environment. It is open to both professional and amateur photographers. There are two awards to be won: the Judges’ Choice and the Public’s Choice. Both winners will receive a £1500 prize.
Expert judges will select the shortlisted photos to be put through to a public vote. Usually around 12 photos are selected. The public votes for their favourite and the Public’s Choice winner will be determined. The judges will also decide which from the shortlisted photos will be the winner of the Judges’ Choice prize.
