ASSA ABLOY Door Group has reinforced its commitment to developing skills and career prospects through its six-month secondment programme. Project engineers, Ben Brown and Jordan Lyttle will be focusing on sales roles as part of the scheme, exploring a different side of the business to develop skills in the area.

Brown has been part of Door Group for over six years and will be transitioning from his project engineer role into a secondment opportunity within the sales team, focusing on after-sales support.
With a strong engineering background and an understanding of the company’s product offering, Brown will be well positioned to use his technical expertise and customer experience to build lasting client relationships. He will be working closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth, reliable experience from start to finish.
Brown said: “During my time working as part of the secondment, I hope to develop my communication skills, problem solving and expand my product knowledge by meeting customers face to face and building on current and new relationships.
“It’s a great opportunity to build a solid foundation in sales and potentially grow into a permanent role and I’m excited to deliver results in this new environment.”

After working as a project engineer at Door Group for two years, Little will be working with the sales team, focusing on new door sales, allowing him to balance technical detail with a more strategic, customer-focused approach.
With hands-on experience from the shop floor and a strong technical background, Little brings valuable insight into the company’s products and processes. His focus will be understanding customer needs and delivering tailored solutions that add real value.
Little said: “I’m looking forward to working closely with customers and helping them find the right solutions. I’m also eager to develop new skills in sales, build relationships and contribute to the growth of the business.
“Combining my technical background, having spent time on the shop floor and working as a project engineer, will open a lot of possibilities for the future and I am keen to see where this role can take me.”
