ASSA ABLOY’s Close-Motion product has been shortlisted in the SBID international design awards. The door closer has been names a finalist in the Product of the Year – Contract category.
The latest Close-Motion® Door Closer design from ASSA ABLOY features a configuration of components to create a solution that solves multiple challenges within a building.
By controlling the close for the last 10 degrees it allows the door to position itself within the frame with near to zero sound. Its quiet nature also lends itself to being more inclusive for all users. A safety feature of the Close-Motion is it also reduces the risk of fingers being trapped or crushed within a door.
The SBID awards attract entries from across the world, recognising design excellence across a broad range of categories spanning interior design, fit-out and product. Winning a SBID International Design Award is a high achievement – they are evaluated by leading industry experts for their technical content and aesthetic creativity while the design-conscious public also have a say in voting for the most inspiring projects.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony at The Landmark London on Friday 3 November.
