CES has won an international design award for the locking device series of the cloud-based locking system CESentry. The series won an iF DESIGN AWARD 2025 organised by iF International Forum Design GmbH, one of the oldest independent design institutions in the world.
The award was given in the discipline Product, category Building Technology, and the CESentry locking device series. CES came out on top among 11,000 submissions from 66 countries. It was judged by an international jury of 131 independent design professionals.
In collaboration with CES, the Squareone design agency developed the hardware for the CESentry locking devices, consisting of a handle set, wall terminal and electronic locking cylinder. The task was to combine these very different products with a standardised design language to create a harmonious product family.
The iF DESIGN AWARDS jury assessed the design in terms of innovation, functionality, aesthetics, sustainability, utility and ergonomics.
