CPI Ltd. (the independent organisation set up to administer the Code for Construction Product Information or CCPI) has announced Amanda Long as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Long was instrumental in starting up the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) and will replace Steve Marr as his time as Interim Chief Executive comes to an end.
Marr has been leading the scheme since the beginning of the year and successfully ramped up engagement with manufacturers and other parts of the supply chain. He also oversaw the first wave of intake for assessment and verification against the Code. Marr will stay supporting CPI Ltd in the role of Interim Chief Operating Officer.
Amanda Long brings substantial knowledge and understanding of the built environment sector and has valuable experience setting up and running national schemes to raise standards in the construction sector.
She has previously worked as an independent consultant for the Office for Product Safety and Standards and has engaged regularly with construction product manufacturers as well as other parts of the construction value chain throughout her career. She brings a strong knowledge of the Economic, Social and Governance (ESG) agenda, as well as an in-depth understanding of the current and expected regulatory conditions facing the industry.
