West Yorkshire firm, Ian Firth Doors & Hardware, this week marks 40 years in business.
Founded by Ian and Bernice Firth from their Leeds family home in 1982, the company currently has a turnover exceeding £16m and employs over 100 people.
A timeline has been produced charting the company’s story so far: https://www.ianfirth.co.uk/about-us
What begun with the supply of ironmongery to local housebuilders, the company has grown and evolved to become one of the leading manufacturers of composite residential doorsets nationwide.
Growing fast in the 1980s and expanding into new product groups, such as internal doors, patio doors, garage doors, loft hatches, and external doors, the company was able to purchase land in 1996 and build its very own premises, Lady Ann House, Shaw Cross, Dewsbury, where it warehouses, manufacturers and distributes from today.
