izé new Italian-designed range inspired by Tirolean domes

izé has introduced a new Cupole collection by interior designer Fabrizio Casiraghi. Inspired by the domes that define the architectural landscape of southern Germany and Austria, the collection pays homage to these elegant and timeless structures. Casiraghi, who spent much of his childhood in Tirol, developed a deep appreciation for these curvilinear superstructures – not only found atop churches but also in Ottoman baths –where they have been used since Roman times to span circular, square, hexagonal, and octagonal spaces.

Translating this architectural element into ironmongery, the Cupole collection reflects the harmony between form and function. The dome’s structural essence – graceful yet monumental – has been scaled down to the rose, the connecting element between the door and handle. Much like traditional interior architecture, where every detail is thoughtfully designed, this collection embodies a meticulous approach, celebrating craftsmanship and enduring beauty.
