London festival opens doors to capital’s buildings

Many of London’s buildings are opening their doors from 6-17 September as part of the Open House Festival.

53 Havant Road in Walthamstow is one of the homes open for the Festival

The annual event is a two-week celebration of London’s homes, architecture and neighbourhoods. Visitors can get inside some of London’s best known buildings, as well as some of its best kept secrets. The Festival is organised by Open City a charity dedicated to making London and its architecture more open, accessible and equitable.

Buildings open to the public include the 1930s RIBA building at Portland Place, the newly refurbed Crystal Palace Subway and many interesting residential homes. The event also offers a variety of walking tours around different areas of London.

The 2023 Open House Festival programme is now live. Book your tickets here.
