A newly launched podcast is for the architectural ironmongery trade launches next week. Locks, Knobs and Two Smoking Barrel Bolts, is the first podcast of its kind in the sector, and promises to feature industry heavyweights discussing topics like spec breaking, competency, and testing.
Hosted by former AIJ editor and industry PR expert, Helen Curry, Locks, Knobs and Two Smoking Barrel Bolts will be available on all major platforms – Apple Podcasts, Amazon, Spotify, and Deezer. The first episode will be available on Tuesday 19 November with new episodes monthly. The debut episode, titled Breaking Bad: What’s Happening with Spec Breaking? features three leading figures from the AI trade discussing this challenging industry issue.
“We aim to bring a no-nonsense, candid perspective to the issues that get everyone in the door and hardware trade fired up,” says Helen Curry. “Expect lively debates and deep dives from top names in the sector. We’re eager to spark conversations across the trade with independent voices on the topics that truly matter. Upcoming episodes will explore areas such as competency, the future of traditional AIs, the decline of BS476, and testing standards.”
